According to data from the General Administration of Customs, China on July 12, China exported 5.306 million tons of steel in June 2019, 437 000 tons less than last month, down 23.5% YOY; and from January to June, China imported 34.399 million tons of steel from, down 2.6% YOY.
In June, China imported 945 000 tons of steel, 37 000 tons less than last month, down 9.1% YOY; and from January to June, China imported 5.823 million tons of steel, down 12.7% YOY.
In June, China imported 75.179 million tons of iron ore and its concentrate, 8.574 million tons less than last month, down 9.7% YOY, and from January to June, China imported 499.094 million tons of iron ore and its concentrate, down 5.9% YOY.
In June, China exported 382 000 tons of coke, 497 000 tons less than last month, down 60.2% YOY; and from January to June, China exported 3.846 million tons of coke, down 19.7% YOY.
