Silicon carbide refractory slurry is used as a joint material for masonry silicon carbide products and silicon carbide containing products. The silicon carbide mud produced by our company is made of silicon carbide with certain particle size as raw material, with binder and admixture. It can be divided into water silicon carbide slurry and anhydrous silicon carbide mud. Water silicon carbide slurry uses water glass or acid phosphate as a binder, and anhydrous silicon carbide mud uses liquid phenolic resin as a binder. Carbon refractory mud is used for jointing and jointing materials for masonry of medium and large blast furnace charcoal bricks, mixed iron furnaces or torpedo tanks. These clays are also called carbon pastes, which are rough and fine. . The product is made up of metallurgical coke as the main raw material, plus anthracite, earthy graphite, and asphalt, coal tar and eucalyptus oil as binders. The rough and fine pastes have different physical and chemical indicators due to different product ingredients ratio. The performance index of coarse seam paste: the ash content is less than 8%, the volatile matter is less than 12%, and the compressive strength after heat treatment at 1000 °C is not less than 15 MPa. Fine seam performance index: ash content less than 8%, volatile matter less than 35%.
