Building mud pack for taphole in blast furnace solution

After the new blast furnace or the overhauled blast furnace, the mud that is pressed into the blast furnace is not easy to form a mud pack, and even if it is formed into a mud pack, its strength does not meet the requirements for tapping. The mud pack made of aluminum silicon carbide carbon ramming material developed by our company is made of high quality corundum, bauxite, silicon carbide and carbon materials as the main raw materials, adding various additives and imported resin. Its high strength, the depth of the iron mouth can be made according to requirements, to meet the requirements of iron. In addition, in the initial stage of tapping, the mud pack can be effectively formed to protect the mud sleeve and prolong the service life of the mud sleeve. At the same time, at the beginning of the tapping, a suitable iron mouth depth can be formed to meet the iron demand. In the process of tapping, the influence of the pressure in the furnace is small, the iron flow can be stabilized, and the iron outlet iron stability can be ensured.

Main construction techniques:

a.     Construction node: After the blast furnace hearth is poured, the pouring unit cleans the inner bracket of the furnace, and we start to feed the furnace. At the same time, the top mold is used to hang the mud mold to the top of the furnace, and then the mud mode is fallen to the furnace bottom by using hanging scaffold inside of the blast furnace. Next, we can conduct on-site welding.

b.     Construction personnel: At the same time, the east and west iron gates will be built at the same time, with a total of 18 people, including 8 people in the furnace and 10 people outside the furnace.

c.       Construction time: All personnel and mud materials enter the furnace and complete the mud bag construction work on both sides of the iron mouth within 6 hours, and try their best to compress the construction time. (weld with 5mm tread plate)

d.     Construction size: Due to the irregular shape of the mud pack, the masonry size is about 2.8 meters long, 0.4 meters to 0.6 meters wide, and 2.5 meters high. The specific values are based on the actual size of the site.

e.     Construction materials: It is estimated that about 30 tons of high-strength corundum mud packs should be used for the construction of the east and west mud packs. The specific dosage is based on the actual construction conditions.

f.      After the operation is completed, we will clean up all the construction waste in the furnace and finish the work.
